SkinFX Policies



  1. We sell to Beauty Industry Professionals ONLY.  We require proof of credentials to shop with us, whether it be in our showroom or on this website.  You will not be permitted to purchase products from us that do not reflect your qualifications.  

    • Prior to ordering online, all clients must SIGN UP ONLINE and submit proof of all relevant qualifications (ie: Professional Certification, Business Cards, etc.), in order to shop on this website .  

    • SkinFX Accounts who shop in our Edmonton Showroom, must SIGN UP ONLINE (you can do this on the laptop in our Showroom) along with proof of all relevant qualifications before being allowed to shop in Showroom. 

  2. Please note that we do our best to make sure that all information on our website (including ingredients, description and size)  is accurate to the best of our knowledge, manufactures do,  from time to time,  update formulations, sizing etc.  and do not advise us immediately.  In cases where there is inconsistency between our website and the label, the label on the product shall be deemed correct.  

  3. Please note that should there be a discrepancy between the price of a product on our website and our final invoice - our price on the final invoice shall be deemed correct.  

  4. Please note that all prices are subject to change without notice. Applicable Taxes and Shipping (if applicable) will be charged on all orders.

  5. All orders received from this website are subject to approval based on your credentials and inventory available at time of order. Your order will be processed within 24 hours (please note we are not open on weekends or statutory holidays) and an invoice (with applicable shipping, if required) sent to you for approval.  

  6. Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice.  We will not hold unpaid orders for more than 48 hours. We accept Cash, Debit, Visa*, MasterCard*, or Email Transfer.  Sorry, no COD’s. *Credit Card payments will not be processed without a Credit Card Authorization Form and will subject to Credit Card Verification with the Card Issuing Bank.  We do not keep CVV #’s on file you will need to provide this each time you order even if we have your credit card information on file.

  7. Should you be using a credit card that is not in the name of the SkinFX Account Holder we will require a separate Credit Card Authorization form completed and signed by the card holder for the amount of the invoice.

  9. All Credit notes issued by SkinFX that are not used within one year will be cancelled. 

  10. Shipping charges (if applicable) are based on actual shipping costs (using our commercial preferred rates)  from our Edmonton, Alberta, Showroom to your location via Local Courier, Canada Post Expedited Parcel, or Intra-Canada Courier.   All shipping costs are at the expense of the client.  Clients in the Edmonton area may pick up their orders at our office during regular business hours. We will not ship Express for any first-time orders.

  11. All cancelled orders after we have processed your order and arranged for shipping will be subject to a $10.00 cancellation fee. 

  12. Please note that sometimes we experience backorders from our suppliers that are beyond our control.  We do our best to get these items to you as soon as possible.  Should we experience a back order with your order we will contact you immediately.  We will then contact you when the item comes in should you still wish to receive it.  Regular shipping fees apply to all backorders. 

  13. All Accounts of Skin FX Inc. agree to sell our products at the suggested retail prices, or higher as set out by Skin FX Inc. and/or our Manufacturers.

  14. Accounts of Skin FX may advertise Skin FX Inc. products online but under no circumstances are Skin FX Inc. products to be sold  on  websites such as Kijiji, Craig’s List, eBay, Amazon, etc..  Violation of this policy will immediately terminate your Skin FX Inc. Account.

  15. All products deemed “Professional Use Only” by SkinFX Inc. are under no circumstances, to be resold as retail items and are sold only to persons holding valid Certification for the product, as approved by Skin FX Inc. 

  16. We do not ship or sell outside of Canada.




  1. Shipping costs for returns are at the expense of the purchaser.

  2. Products may be returned for a refund within 14 days of purchase.  Returns are refunded in the original form of purchase and must be accompanied with your original receipt. Returned products must be unopened, unused, in original packaging and in resalable condition.  

  3. Returns after 14 days of purchase will be for store credit only.

  4. No refund or credit will be given after  30 days of purchase for any reason.   

  5. Items marked clearance, seasonal or purchased at discounted rate are FINAL SALE sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason. 

  6. Opened, used or partially used products cannot be returned unless deemed defective.

  7. Claims for damaged goods must be received in writing (with photos of product and packaging) within 48 hours of receipt of your order. Please take the time to inspect all goods carefully upon receiving them.

  8. We do not ship replacements for damaged or defective items - we will issue a credit for the item(s) to your account.  

  9. Please refer to www.sunfxcanada.ca for return/warranty information on all SunFX / Smile FX equipment and solutions/products.

  10. Applicable Manufacturer warranty applies to all furniture, and electrical equipment and will be handled by the Manufacturer as per their policies and within the warranty period.  

  11. All masks and PPE items are FINAL SALE.

  • All Classes are held at our offices at 8630 - 53 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.

  • All Classes must be paid in full at time of registration. You are not considered registered if you have not paid in full. GST is applied to all class fees and reschedule fees. 

  • Class Fees and Reschedule Fees (if applicable) are NON-REFUNDABLE.  A rescheduling fee of $75.00 will be charged to any student who needs to reschedule or defer to another a class for any reason.

  • Students must have a full understanding (both written and spoken) of the English language.

  • Class dates are subject to change due to educator availability. 

  • Classes with only one student registered may be rescheduled or cancelled at the discretion of SkinFX.

  • Class hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, unless otherwise noted.  Make sure you confirm your class times either on our website or by calling our offices.  Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to class time to get settled.  Please be on time!

  • Classes include all training supplies and products, unless otherwise noted.

  • Please be prepared for class with a notebook and writing instruments (pens, pencils, etc.).

  • Professional attire is required; scrubs & spa uniforms accepted. Absolutely no jeans, sweats or runners.  

  • Outdoor shoes are not permitted in our classrooms.  Please wear CLEAN soft soled shoes.

  • Students are responsible for finding their own practicum Models when required. Be sure to have your models arranged prior to registration.

  • Models are to arrive promptly at least 5 minutes before their service time and are required to leave immediately afterwards.  

  • Models are not permitted to "shop" or "browse" in the SkinFX Showroom (please remember that we sell to professionals only).

  • Children are not permitted on premises during classes. Please make sure to inform Models so that they do not bring children with them.

  • Classes break for lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 (unless otherwise posted).  Please note we do not permit food or drinks (except water) in our classrooms.  We do have lunchroom facilities on site. There are also, several fast food restaurants within a 2- 5 minute drive. 

  • A rescheduling fee of $100.00 will be charged to any Student who needs to reschedule/ or defer a written/practical exam for any reason. 

  • All quota homework must be brought with you on the day of the exam, failure to do so will result in an automatic fail.  

  • Upon completion of a Certified Course, quotas will be required and a practical and theory exam will be conducted.  Students must achieve 75% on the theory and 80% on the practical exam in order to receive a certificate.  

  • Should you loose your certificate once we have issued it, we charge $10.00 plus GST, plus postage (if applicable) to reissue your certificate.



  • Online classes/workshops are available to registered accounts of SunFX only - no exceptions

  • The online classes is property of SkinFX Inc,. any downloading, reproduction, printing etc  in any form of said class is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate cancellation of your SkinFX Account and may result in legal action against you.  

  • You will need a gmail google account to access our Classes.  If you don't have one you can get one a google.ca for free. 

  • All online classes must be done in the designated amount of time (the link you are provided has a time limit - most are 3-7 days, so make sure you have the time available to complete it before registering). 

  • We will only send you links once.  We cannot repeatedly send links if you do not have time to do the class, seminar or workshop.

  • Once your class time has expired you must request your exam (if applicable) and send it back to us for marking (it can be scanned or photocopies and emailed back to us within 2 days).  Once you have passed we will mark your exam and email out your certificate.

  • Smile FX Teeth Whitening and SunFX Spray Tanning online classes DO NOT include certification UNLESS you have purchased a SmileFX or SunFX Kit - no exceptions.  If you already have equipment there will be a fee for these classes.




In keeping with full transparency we do not inflate our prices or offer flat rate shipping to cover shipping costs.,  We keep our wholesale prices low and offer bulk pricing on numerous items.  With this in mind we DO NOT offer free shipping (except if there is a promotion).

We continue to offer you the best shipping rates based our negotiated commercial discounts therefore  the cost of shipping your order depends on the size and weight of the package(s) and your location.   Please note that commercial addresses are typically cheaper to ship to than Residential addresses and if you choose SIGNATURE required this adds about $3.00 to your shipping charge.   


Orders across Canada are shipped via INTRA-CANADA COURIER (Canpar, Purolator, FedEx,  UPS).  If you do not choose to ship your parcel with "signature required" you assume all responsibility for a missing (from your door) or temperature affected parcel(s).  We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.  During extreme cold weather or if your address is in an apartment complex we may choose to ship via Canada Post and "card" for pickup at your nearest postal outlet.

While we pack your order as carefully as possible, once your shipment has left our offices we do not accept responsibility for products that freeze and/or leak due to unforeseen changes in the weather during transit.  Courier companies do not insure or guarantee products against freezing or heat while in transit.

All orders from accounts in Edmonton and surrounding areas may be PICKED UP at our Showroom Location at 8630 - 53 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta from 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday (except holidays).  Should you prefer your  order to be shipped either by INTRA-CANADA COURIER (as determined by size and weight) or INNER-CITY COURIER (regular 4 hour service within Edmonton $12.00+  or 2 hour rush service within Edmonton $17.00 +).  Additional Courier charges apply for areas surrounding Edmonton (ie: Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Beaumont, Spruce Grove).  We may ship your local order by intra-Canada courier (ie: Canpar, Purolator, FedEX, or UPS) if this proves to be cheaper than the same-day courier.

We try our best to ship orders within one to two days, should you need your order shipped out on a RUSH,  an additional handling/shipping charge of $25.00 will apply.

In support of our business owners and accounts across Canada we will be offering a temporary drop shipping service for Spas/Salons closed during the Covid-19 Pandemic.  Drop Shipping is an option that will allow you to place an order on your account, but request for it to be shipped directly to your client. The order will be picked and packed by SkinFX and shipped directly to your client. The packing slip inside the box will not contain any invoicing or reflect any pricing.


  • Orders must be placed online at www.skinfx.ca  

  • Orders must be placed and paid for by account holder.  We will not accept payment from the account holder’s client. You will need to bill or collect funds from your clients.

  • Each customer that is drop shipped to, must have a separate order placed. Multiple shipping addresses cannot be place on one order.

  • A flat shipping fee of $16.95 will be added to every drop shipping order.  We suggest charging your client a flat rate for shipping and absorbing some of this cost given your profit margin on retail items.  

  • All ordered product will be shipped through our courier or Canada Post via regular ground freight within Canada ONLY!

  • No information regarding SkinFX , invoice,  or other such information will be included in the order to your client. 

  • All order confirmations, delivery notifications and tracking numbers will continue to be sent to the account holder on file with SkinFX. You are responsible to communicate this information to your client.

  • Only retail sized items can be placed for drop shipping. 

  • All requests for returns, refunds and or exchanges from your clients must be made directly with you, same as if they had purchased at your place of business.

  • All requests for order tracking must be made by the account holder to SkinFX directly. Your client will not be provided any information from SkinFX

  • If any chargebacks or fraud is reported on a drop-ship order, the account will no longer be allowed to request this service, the account holder will be required to reimburse these funds prior to ordering on their professional account again.

  • All standard purchase terms and conditions apply.

  • SkinFX reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time.
